Júlio Artur da Silva Pomar (Lisbon, January 10, 1926 — Lisbon, May 22, 2018) was a plastic artist/painter Portuguese. He belonged to the 3rd generation of modernist Portuguese painters, being the author of a multifaceted work, centered on painting, drawing, ceramics, and engraving, with important developments in the fields of three-dimensionality (sculpture; assemblage) or writing. The first years of his career are linked to the resistance against the regime of the Estado Novo and to the affirmation of the neorealist movement in Portugal, marking its specificity in the European context. He had an intense artistic and civic activity throughout the 1940s and 1950s and is consensually considered the most prominent of the cultivators of national neorealism.
